Go Code Colorado Announces New Business Opportunities Challenge
Denver, September 16, 2020 – Go Code Colorado, an initiative of the Secretary of State’s Business Intelligence Center (BIC), is now a virtual competition that challenges the business community to identify problems that the tech community can respond to with solutions. Since 2014, hundreds of developers, designers, business and marketing professionals, analysts, entrepreneurs, and other big thinkers have participated.
“Go Code Colorado encourages Coloradans to use public data to create innovative ideas for the state and business community,” said Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold. “Since its inception, Go Code Colorado has always stood for innovation and I’m looking forward to the program’s continuing evolution in order to best meet the needs of businesses and communities in every corner of our state.”
This year, Go Code Colorado will offer:
Fall of 2020 (Oct 24, 2020)
- The NEW Business Opportunities Challenge, centered on idea generation to identify problems faced by Colorado businesses that could (in part) be addressed using public data. In this Challenge, teams or individuals compete to identify business opportunities, problems and issues (or “use cases”) that could be helped through the use of public data to provide solutions for businesses in Colorado.
This Challenge tasks competitors to use public data to help businesses (for-profit or not-for-profit) improve their companies and communities.
