Lorena Garcia Does Not Qualify for State Primary Ballot
Denver, April 20, 2020 – The Elections Division of the Colorado Secretary of State’s office announced today that Lorena Garcia, Democratic candidate for United States Senate, did not submit the required number of valid signatures to appear on the June 30 State Primary ballot.
Candidates for United State Senate are required to collect 1,500 valid signatures from each of Colorado’s seven congressional districts, for a total of at least 10,500 signatures statewide, as outlined by 1-4-801, C.R.S. Garcia submitted 9,428 valid signatures, failing to meet the required threshold.
