Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold Joins NASS in #TrustedInfo2020 Education Effort
Denver, November 19, 2019 – Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold is joining fellow members of the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) in the #TrustedInfo2020 education effort to encourage Coloradans to look to their state and local election officials as the trusted sources of election information ahead of the 2020 primaries and general election. The nationwide initiative was created as a reminder for voters to actively rely on their local officials for accurate information ahead of next year’s pivotal elections.
"With voters continually confronted with election information, at times from unknown or malicious sources, it is vital that we provide accurate and verifiable information," said Secretary Griswold. "That is why I'm delighted to take part in this initiative that is dedicated to reminding voters that their most trusted source for election information is located conveniently with their own local election officials."
The nation's Secretaries of State, 40 of whom serve as their state’s chief election official, along with other state and local election officials, are working to ensure Americans have correct information on elections processes, voter registration, state election laws, polling place locations, voting, and much more.
