Colorado's latest turnout figures from Tuesday's election

DENVER, Nov. 5, 2015 - The Colorado Secretary of State's office today released the latest unofficial turnout numbers for the 2015 coordinated election.

The results are not official because ballots from military and overseas voters are allowed to arrive up to eight days after Tuesday's election. Colorado has 20,689 active and inactive voters in this category.

Likewise, clerks in Colorado's 64 counties are attempting to reconcile ballots that have been rejected either because voters failed to include a signature, the signature on the envelope didn't match the signature on file or an ID was required and not provided. Clerks have mailed these voters and informed them of the problem so it can be rectified and the ballot counted. Less than 1 percent of the votes cast are in this category.
