Gessler reduces filing fees for business entities and trademarks
Preserves state’s ranking among the lowest filing fees in the country
Denver, October 27, 2011 – Secretary of State Scott Gessler announced new filings fees aimed at keeping the office’s fees among the lowest in the nation. The new and reduced fees will be effective November 1.
“As the gateway for Colorado businesses, we want to make a strong first impression,” Gessler said. “My office is lowering costs and improving online functionality so businesses can focus on jobs, not government fees.”
The Secretary of State’s office is almost exclusively funded through these business filing fees.
But Gessler says his office can absorb these fee reductions and continue to meet the department’s budget obligations while providing the top-notch services its customers have come to expect.
The following will experience lower fees starting November 1:
