Secretary of State Gigi Dennis Reminds Coloradoans of Last Day to Register to Vote for the August 8th Primary Election
Denver CO, July 5, 2006 – Secretary of State Gigi Dennis today reminded Colorado residents that the voter registration deadline for the August 8 Primary Election is Monday, July 10. Voter registration applications must be received by county registration offices by close of business on Monday.
“I encourage Coloradoans to fully participate in our election process,” Secretary of State Gigi Dennis said. “On August 8th, Coloradoans will be determining which candidates will appear on the General Election ballot. If you are not registered to vote or have recently moved, please be sure to turn in or update your registration materials before the July 10 deadline.”
Voter registration forms, available in both English and Spanish, can be obtained by going to the Secretary of State’s online voter information center at www.GoVoteColorado.com. Eligible voters are instructed to complete the voter registration application and return it to their local County Clerk and Recorder.
The Secretary of State’s website also provides absentee ballot applications and instructions on how to become an election/student election judge.
