Secretary of State Gigi Dennis Appointed to Serve as a Commissioner of the State's Information Management Commission
Denver, November 8, 2005 - Governor Bill Owens appointed Secretary of State Gigi Dennis to serve as a Commissioner on the Colorado Commission on Information Management (IMC).
"I am looking forward to helping the state maintain its leadership in the I.T. field and to help the citizens receive better service from government," Secretary of State Gigi Dennis said. "Government agencies are continuing to develop new ways to serve citizens more cost effectively and efficiently by using technology."
Secretary Dennis will serve with the other members of the Commission to oversee strategic planning and set policy for the state's information systems and assure continuity in planning and controlling the state's investments in information systems.
Secretary Dennis' first IMC meeting will be Friday, November 18. The meeting will take place at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs. The public and press are invited to attend.
