Preliminary Voter Turnout Results Released
Denver, November 2, 2005 - Today Secretary of State Gigi Dennis releases unofficial voter turnout results for Colorado's 2005 odd-year election.
"Yesterdays election was a success. I want to thank Coloradoans for exercising their right to vote and making a difference for Colorado," Secretary of State Gigi Dennis said. "There were a lot of high-profile issues on the ballot that raised interest among Colorado's voters."
Here is a summary of the unofficial voter turnout for the seven metropolitan counties based on the number of people casting ballots for the statewide ballot issues:

The Secretary of State projected a voter turnout of 45.0%

Important Dates to Remember:
November 18 - Last day for County Clerk to submit election results to the Secretary of State.
November 25 - Last day for the Secretary of State to total returns and order recounts.
November 25 - Secretary of State will have official election results available on the Secretary of State's website.
December 1 - Last day to complete a recount.
