Secretary Davidson Holds Electoral Vote
Denver, December 13, 2004 - Today, at 12:00 p.m. the Colorado Presidential Electors convened at the Colorado State Capitol to take the oath required by law for the Presidential Electors to cast their vote. In accordance with Colorado State Law, Secretary of State Donetta Davidson collected the official electoral votes for President and Vice-President.
According to C.R.S. 1-4-304, by open ballot each presidential elector shall vote for the presidential and vice-presidential candidate who received the highest number of votes in the preceding general election.
"For me, the electoral vote is truly a reminder that the United States’ election process is the best in the world. We get to exercise a system that is open and fair for all Americans," Donetta Davidson said.
The Certificates of Votes Cast will be distributed my registered mail to the following individuals:
Vice President Dick Cheney, President of the United States Senate
John W. Carlin, Archivist of the United States; and
Lewis T. Babcock, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado
The nine Presidential Electors included:

- Lilly Y. Nunez
- Cynthia H. Murphy
- Sylvia Morgan-Smith
- Diane B. Gallagher
- Vicki A. Edwards
- Frances W. Owens
- Booker T. Graves
