Election Day Update - 4:45 p.m.
Denver, November 2, 2004 - The Secretary of State’s office reports that the statewide election process is running smoothly, with only minor issues arising that are common in any election (power issues, 100-foot limit violations).
As the after-work voter surge develops, voters should be reminded to bring picture ID or other acceptable forms of identification. Polls close at 7 p.m. Voters in line by 7 p.m. will be allowed to cast their ballot.
In Colorado, results for each county are tabulated by the county clerks and results are reported to the media.
The staff at the Secretary of State’s office will be working throughout the evening to provide advice and support to the county clerks.
