Secretary of State to Hold Press Conference Concerning Technical Difficulties and Website Outages
Denver, June 30, 2004 - Secretary of State Donetta Davidson will be hosting a press conference at 1560 Broadway, Suite 1250, Denver, CO 80202 on Thursday, July 1 at 2:00 p.m. to inform citizens and constituents about the source of the technical difficulties affecting the Secretary of State’s online filing and searching capabilities.
Donetta Davidson will be joined by several individuals from local and national companies that have assisted the Department in determining the source of the technical problem.
As of yesterday afternoon, the Secretary of State’s office was able to restore online searches of Business Entities and provide free Certificates of Good Standing. Late this morning, Secretary Davidson announced the ability to provide online annual report filings for Colorado businesses.
It is the goal of the Secretary of State to offer customers the convenience of online access to resources for the business and community and citizens. Therefore, the Secretary of State will provide information concerning the source of the current technical difficulties and plans for restoring online services and information to our customers.
"We look forward to resolving this issue and returning our office to the level of performance that our citizens have come to expect," Donetta Davidson said.
