Legislative Positions

Professional lobbyists must report all legislative position changes on disclosure reports.

Professional lobbyists are now required to report all legislative position changes on their disclosure reports. For each client you will need to select the legislative positions you had during the month and enter date ranges for each. Up to 5 position changes per month can be reported.

Your next disclosure will carry forward the last position taken by the client for each bill. The date range will prefill to cover the entire month. If your position changed during that month, you will need to select the correct positions and enter the date ranges for each. If you didn’t have any position changes during the month simply double check the information and submit your report.

Example:

If this is what you put in your March report:

For the client, the first row shows a legislative position of supporting selected with the date range of 3/1/2016 to 3/15/2016. The second row shows a position of monitoring selected with the date range of 3/16/2016 to 3/31/2016.

Then this is what your April report will look like when you first open it.

For the client, the legislative position monitoring selected with the date range of 4/1/2016 to 4/30/2016.
