The title as designated and fixed by the Board is as follows:
An amendment to the Colorado Revised Statutes to authorize civil unions, and, in connection therewith, extending to same-sex partners in a civil union all the benefits, protections, and responsibilities that are granted by Colorado law to spouses in a marriage, providing the criteria for entering into a civil union and the conditions for the issuance of a civil union license, providing the conditions for the dissolution of a civil union, making provisions for implementation of the act, and providing that a civil union is not a marriage.
The ballot title and submission clause as designated and fixed by the Board is as follows:
