Campaign and Political Finance Training

Class information

Campaign and Political Finance trainings are open to the public and there is no cost to attend. Trainings are intended for anyone who may engage in campaign finance activity, including but not limited to, state and county:

  • Candidates, including school board & special district candidates, and their candidate committees,
  • Political parties,
  • Political and small donor committees,
  • Issue and small-scale issue committees,
  • 527 Political organizations,
  • Independent expenditure committees, and
  • Other interested persons.

Municipal committees/candidates should consult with their municipal/town clerk regarding local regulations.

We encourage attendees to familiarize themselves with the information in the Campaign and Political Finance Manual (PDF) prior to attending each training session.

Reservation requests

In-person training sessions have limited capacity (35 to 40 participants). RSVPs should include your:

  • Name,
  • The number and the names of additional persons attending with you,
  • Phone number,
  • Email address (we’ll only use this to communicate if a session is cancelled or changed or to send a remember about the upcoming training),
  • Committee type or the name of the committee you represent.

In-person sessions with fewer than 10 reservations may be cancelled or converted to an online format.
