UCC Service Disruption

On Tuesday, September 16, 2008, beginning at 5:00 PM MST, access to all UCC online services, including filing of documents and searching the UCC database will be temporarily suspended until 9:00 AM on Wednesday, September 17, 2008. The remainder of our Web site will remain fully functional.

In an effort to protect individual privacy, online access to images of UCC, EFS, and other lien documents will be suspended indefinitely. The Office of the Secretary of State is currently in the process of evaluating and implementing software to aid in the redaction of social security numbers from publicly accessible UCC, EFS, and other lien documents.

A UCC-11 Information Request form must be submitted to obtain copies of any UCC, EFS, and lien documents.

The UCC-11 Information Request form is available by selecting “Business Home” from the left menu bar and then selecting the “UCC and EFS forms” link under the UCC Information heading. For current copy fees, please refer to the “Fee schedule” under the “General Information” heading in the Business Center.

The Business Division may experience processing delays as a consequence of this suspension. Please note that fax return and expedited service are not available for UCC search or copy requests.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The Business Division
