Q1. How do I get a certified copy of a document?
A1. You must have an account to get a certified copy. To get a certified copy:
- Create or log in to a user account.
- Click on "Standard search."
- Enter the debtor's name (either an organization or an individual).
- Click on "Search."
- On the Search Results page, place checkmarks next to the records that you want to include.
- Click on "View Images."
- Click on "Certify."
The PDF that appears after you click on "Certify" will include a certificate and an unredacted copy of the document.
Q2. What is a certified search report?
A2. A certified search report is a list of all of the records that matched the search term that you entered. It includes the debtors and secured parties as well as any amendments. A certificate is included that certifies that the report contains all of the records on file for that particular debtor name as of the current date.
A certified search report can be used as evidence that a UCC financing statement naming a particular debtor was or was not on record as of the date of the search. You must have a UCC Account to obtain a certified search report.

- Enter the debtor's name (either an organization or an individual).
- Click on "Search."
- On the Search Results page, place a checkmark next to "Select all."
- Click on "View Report." This will bring up a PDF report of your search.
- Click on "Certify."
The PDF that appears after you click on "Certify" will include a certificate and the search report.
