Purpose/Objective of Rule |
On September 22, 2023, the Department permanently adopted amended and new rules to the Colorado Department of State Elections Rules. The rules are intended to ensure uniform and proper administration, implementation, and enforcement of Colorado laws. The Department also adopts rules that were considered at the August 3rd rulemaking hearing on a temporary basis that will need to be effective immediately due to the proximity of the November 7th coordinated election (SOS eDocket Tracking #: 2023-00344). Please see attached Notice of Temporary Adoption, which includes a Statement of Basis and Purpose and Statement of Justification. |
